AI SEO: Strategy, Not Months of Execution

AI SEO changed our whole week. Connect Claude to your data and the execution runs itself, so the time goes to strategy. Here is what that looks like in practice.

AI SEO: Strategy, Not Months of Execution

The most boring part of SEO just disappeared.

For years, most of SEO was manual work. Pull the data. Check the rankings. Read the analytics. Look for broken pages. Rewrite the tags. One spreadsheet, then another.

Months of execution before anyone could even start thinking about strategy.

That part is gone now. And it did not just make us faster. It changed how this work feels.

This is what AI SEO really means for us. Not a buzzword. A completely different day.

We used to dread the reporting

Every agency knows the feeling.

The end of the month arrives, and so does the export marathon. Log into Search Console, export. Log into Analytics, export. Open the heatmaps. Copy the numbers into a deck. Write the email. Then do it all again for the next client.

By the time the reports went out, the month was over. The thinking, the part that actually grows a business, kept waiting for “next month”.

For a lot of small businesses, “next month” never came. They paid for exports and called it SEO.

We were tired of it too. So we changed it.

What changed: your tools finally talk to each other

The data you need was never missing. It was just scattered across tools that did not speak to each other.

The piece that fixed this is MCP, the Model Context Protocol. It is an open standard that lets an AI connect directly to a tool and read its data live, instead of a human exporting files and pasting them in. We give Claude one connection per source:

  • Google Search Console, so it sees what Google sees: clicks, impressions, average position, by query, page and date, plus the index status of any URL.
  • Google Analytics 4, through the official Google Analytics MCP, for sessions, conversions, top landing pages, even live traffic.
  • Microsoft Clarity, so it sees rage clicks, dead clicks, and exactly where people give up on a page.
  • Mangools, for keyword research, so search volumes and keyword ideas come straight into the analysis. A strategy is only as good as the keyword data behind it.
  • Gmail, Fathom (our meeting transcripts) and Google Sheets, so client emails, call notes and our tracking sheets are all in reach.

One assistant, every source, no copy-paste.

What a Tuesday looks like now

Let me show you the thing we do most, because it is the clearest example.

A client wants to understand how their site is doing. Two years ago, that was half a day of work.

Now we send Claude one message:

“Look at this client’s Google Search Console, Analytics, Clarity and Mangools. Cross-check the data across all four, against the site itself. Run a PageSpeed Insights test through the API to rule out a technical problem. Find what is moving, and why it is moving. Then make recommendations, build a branded PDF, and draft the email that presents it to the client.”

Ten minutes later, the draft is sitting in the inbox. The branded PDF is attached, in our own branding, ready to send. We read it, adjust a line, and send it.

We do this around ten times a week. It takes ten minutes. It used to take half a day.

That is one prompt. Here are others we run through the day, in plain language, answered in seconds:

  • “Compare the last 28 days in Search Console to the 28 before. Which pages lost the most clicks, and on which searches?”
  • “This page slipped from position 4 to 9 last week. Pull everything, Search Console, Analytics, Clarity, and tell me the most likely reason and the fix.”
  • “A client asked why their traffic is down. Explain it in plain words, no jargon, the way we’d say it to them on the phone.”
  • “In Mangools, find keywords around AI SEO with real volume and low difficulty, and tell me which page should target each one.”

Each of those used to be an afternoon of exporting and cross-referencing. Now it is one question, answered against live data, in the time it takes to read the reply.

What runs every night, for the sites we manage

Asking questions on demand is one half. The other half runs on its own, every night, for every site we manage.

Each managed site has its own tab in a Google Sheet. While you sleep, an automation goes to work:

  • It checks every page against the Search Console API and marks which ones Google has indexed and which it has not.
  • It runs each page through the Google PageSpeed Insights API, so we see exactly which pages are slow, and where.
  • For the pages Google has not indexed, it automatically requests indexing, every night, until they are picked up.

By morning, the sheet shows the real state of the site: what is indexed, what is fast, what needs a human. Nothing slips quietly out of Google for weeks before anyone notices.

That is the quiet advantage of a site we manage. It does not wait for a review every few months to find a problem. It checks itself, every single night. So if your site is with us, it sits in a good place by default.

The real shift: from doing the work to deciding it

Here is the part almost nobody talks about.

The tools did not just make SEO faster. They moved us from doing the work to deciding the work.

When the execution takes care of itself, what is left is the only part that actually changes results: the strategy. Where to push. What to build next. Which fight is worth picking against a bigger, older competitor.

That is the judgement, the taste, the human read of a business. It is the part we love. And for the first time, it is where our days actually go.

Honestly, this is the agency we always wanted to run. Less exporting. More thinking. More time with the people we build for.

What this means for your business

If your SEO still looks like someone exporting spreadsheets at the end of the month, you are paying for work a machine now does on its own.

The budget should go somewhere better. Not to the manual work, but to the decisions: a clear plan, the right pages, the right priorities, checked against real data every single week instead of once a quarter.

That is the SEO service we run now, and it pairs naturally with a clean WordPress-to-Astro migration when the site itself is what holds you back.

The machine handles the execution. We handle the strategy. And your traffic feels the difference.

If you want to know what your own data is quietly telling you, let us take a look together. No pressure, just a clear picture of where your next visitors will come from.
